An interesting trend in parents who are expecting a child is to go out and buy a new car that has all of the available safety features-- a trend which often translates into an unnecessarily expensive purchase. For many couples this is a show of affection for their as yet unborn little one, and is of course the result of the natural parental urge to protect one's children.
